Paint Booth

Whether you want a classy OEM finish or something bespoke, our paint booths are where the magic happens.

First impressions start with magnificent body paint. Our state-of-the-art paint booths are manned by VW Audi Group trained vehicle spray painters, with all paints mixed in-house by machine and colour matched by our colour spectro camera that scans your existing paintwork and provides a match to ensure colour accuracy.

The sterile environment of our paint booths ensures no environmental contamination and a top-quality finish that looks factory fresh - perfect for Caddy resprays and customisation.

We have experience spray painting full vans in cases of extreme sun fade and neglect or vandalism, as well as individual panels, bumpers, and trim.

As you probably know, the most significant challenge of vehicle spray painting is matching old paint with new paint. We can account for age to produce 99.9% colour accuracy so that your van looks like it has never had any paintwork done along with the same factory peel finish to match existing panels.

Fantastic paintwork, incredible results.

We firmly believe that any custom van worth its salt should have clean and tidy paintwork, regardless of age, mileage or specification.

Our paint booths oversee the spraying of hundreds of van parts each month, including roofs, bonnets, doors, arches, mouldings, and interior trim.

Paint booths take up lots of space, and it isn't uncommon for body shops to outsource some of their paint projects to meet demand. We take no such action - all paintwork is performed in-house to precise specifications with quality products.

We have two paint booths that provide a regulated environment where spray paint is applied with control. Panels are allowed time to cure, and we don't rush anything - your van will receive the highest standard of care.

You can specify any colour you like, or we can provide samples from all VW Audi Group colours. If you fancy something bespoke, you can provide a hex code or swatch, and we will match the colour (ideal for trim and accents).

Have a paintwork problem? We can advise on weathering, dull clear coat, tree sap damage, scratches, scuffs and corrosion.

THE CADDY RESPRAY PROCESS

The Caddy respray process for a VW Caddy involves several key stages:

Preparation: Clean the vehicle thoroughly and repair any damage. Sand the body panels to create a smooth surface.

- Masking: Cover areas not to be painted, such as windows and trim.

- Priming: Apply primer in multiple thin coats to create a uniform base.

- Sanding: Once dry, sand the primer to achieve a smooth surface.

- Base coat: Apply the chosen colour in even layers using a spray gun.

- Clear coat: Add multiple layers of clear coat for protection and gloss.

- Drying and curing: Bake the vehicle in a paint booth to harden the finish.

- Polishing: Polish the cured paint to remove imperfections and enhance shine.

- Reassembly: Reinstall any removed parts and remove masking materials.

- Quality control: Inspect the vehicle for consistent colour and smooth finish.

Factors like temperature, humidity, and dust control are crucial throughout the process. The choice of paint products and careful execution of each step ensures durability, which is especially important for a work vehicle like the Caddy.

A TMG respray can significantly improve the Caddy's appearance, potentially increasing its value and protecting it from corrosion and wear. When done correctly, the new paint job should match the quality of a factory finish, giving the vehicle a fresh look.
